Two ways to get here.
Bemugi’s sits at Santa Maria on the Machangulo Peninsula, with Maputo Bay on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other. Getting here is part of what makes the place feel so wonderfully removed from everyday life.
By boat
Across Maputo Bay.
For many guests, the easiest way to reach Bemugi’s is across Maputo Bay. Boat transfers can be arranged from Maputo to Santa Maria, turning the journey into the beginning of the holiday.
By 4x4
Take the scenic route.
For those arriving with their own vehicle, Santa Maria can also be reached overland through Maputo National Park.
The journey includes remote roads and sandy tracks, so this is a 4x4 route. Allow plenty of time, plan to travel during daylight and check with the Bemugi’s team for the latest route and park access information before setting off.
