Navigation is harder after dark and recovery from soft sand becomes more difficult. Reserve gate rules also make a late overland arrival impractical.
Plan to complete the route with a comfortable daylight margin. If your flight or schedule makes that impossible, arrange an overnight stop or ask about a boat transfer.
